📝 Here are some of the questions I'll be asking during our little 'fireside chat' aka interview. They're starting points more than a script. The best of it usually comes from real moments, so feel free to come with a story or two. I'll always bring us back to these.

  1. In this season of leadership, what does "capacity" really mean to you, beyond time and workload?
  2. Tell me about a recent time your tank ran empty. What was going on, and what did it cost you?
  3. How do you decide what to say yes to as opportunities keep expanding, without quietly eroding your own effectiveness or wellbeing? Is there a time you got that call wrong?
  4. When your responsibilities multiply, what actually keeps your thinking clear and your judgement sound? A specific moment if one comes to mind.
  5. Which practices or boundaries genuinely keep you able to lead well, and which are the first to slip when life gets demanding?
  6. Tell me about a stretch when everything seemed to be working against you and you could feel it compounding. What was the one thing that turned it back around?
  7. When you turn up depleted or stretched thin, how does it show up in the room, and what do you notice it doing to your team?
  8. Tell me about a time your own state, good or bad, clearly changed how your team showed up or performed.
  9. How aware are you, in the moment, of the energy you are setting for the people around you?
  10. Looking back, what do you wish you had understood earlier about ambition, growth and the real cost of leadership when capacity is not protected?
  11. If people learn leadership by watching, what do you hope your team is learning from how you lead right now?
  12. What have we not touched on that leaders, new or seasoned, need to learn faster?
